Job Description

As our legal counsel you will partner with the business, understand its issues and produce viable and tangible solutions. You will join the Finance and Legal team and report to the CFO.

Business Partner

  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with enterprise customers, partnering closely with our sales teams across our various offers
  • Draft, review, and negotiate vendor agreements with suppliers, partnering with relevant stakeholders
  • Update and maintain our terms and conditions as our business activities evolve
  • Identify and consult on legal risks in connection with the development of products and expansion into new markets
  • Handle legal claims as they come in and play a key role within the day to day operations of the litigation


  • Serve as the point of contact of data subjects and respond to their requests
  • Partner with product and developer teams to review new products, features, and other new uses of personal data to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws
  • Manage data protection language in standard contractual agreements
  • Maintain and update privacy policies as required or appropriate
  • Drive compliance programs for privacy and data security to develop and implement global policies, processes and trainings surrounding privacy and data protection
  • Stay up-to-date with, and advise on, regulatory and industry developments, including monitoring trends in privacy and security laws, regulations, and public policy


  • Help prepare and organize corporate events (Board & Shareholders’ meetings), mainly in relation to usual operations (renewal of mandates, appointment of Directors, approval of annual accounts) and draft all relevant documentation mainly in French (resolutions, minutes of meetings, attendance sheet etc)
  • Handle and coordinate legal formalities (publications, registrations - including deposit of annual accounts and legalizations)
  • Maintain corporate structure chart, capitalization table, subsidiary lists, entity charts, and officer/director designations for entities
  • Involvement in exceptional operations (setting up of companies, branches, M&A, legal restructuring specific projects) including cross-functional cooperation


  • Provide occasional support to HR or managers on issues relating to all aspects of labour and employment laws
  • Develop materials and conduct training sessions on legal forms, processes, and issues
  • Select and work with our specialist external counsel when needed, be their main point of contact (follow up, fees negotiation and management)

We are looking for someone excellent at leading various projects in parallel and at executing them. This is a hands-on role and you’ll be expected to handle significant and complex legal matters with short turnaround times.

Preferred Experience

  • You have ideally passed Bar Exam (French CAPA)
  • You have a master’s degree ideally in Tax Law or Business Law
  • You have 5 years of professional experience ideally with a Law firm background. An experience in Tech start-up or scale-up would be highly appreciated.
  • You have a significant and tangible experience in Business Law (Droit des Affaires)
  • You are proactive, autonomous, and entrepreneur-minded.
  • You have strong analytical and ability to synthesize skills
  • You have a strong team mindset, and are always happy to help and work alongside your peers and stakeholders.
  • You have a native level in French
