About

Created in 2015, talent.io is Europe's fastest-growing recruitment platform for tech profiles.
Rethinking and disrupting the recruitment market for Tech talents, our selective platform is the
simplest way to hire a great tech team.

Our concept is simple

As a candidate: instead of wasting time researching job openings and applying for positions,
sign up to talent.io once and have companies research your profile and "apply" to you.

As a client: instead of trying to look for great talent using channels that yield low-quality leads,
gain access to dozens of profiles per week who pass our high qualification bar and are actively
seeking their next career move.

We're moving fast!

Since 2015, talent.io raised €10M and grew from 3 people in Paris to a team of 150 across 5
countries. Our offices are located in Paris, Berlin, London, Amsterdam, where people from 15+
different nationalities collaborate...

And in January 2020, we joined FrenchTech 120 ranking! 🚀

Job Description

Talent.io's platform is mainly built on Ruby on Rails combined with ReactJS, and hosted on Heroku. Our tech team, made of 12 full stack developers, is today growing and facing many exciting projects to keep developing our service, and remain #1 on the Tech Recruitment Market in Europe.

Hence why, we are today hiring talented senior full stack developers, to join the team and contribute to the journey.

As a Full stack developer, you will:

  • Implement the features prioritized by the product team on our roadmap from end to end: backend using Ruby on Rails, frontend in ReactJS or Coffeescript and deployment of the feature on our Heroku infrastructure.
  • Pair program with fellow developers. At talent.io, we think that pair programming is a great vector for knowledge transmission and we encourage the team to practice it.
  • Review code done by your peers, to ensure that we maintain high quality standards in terms of code readability to ease later maintenance.
  • Provide operational support, fixing bugs encountered by users and our operational team. Though we strive for achieving a great code quality, sometimes bugs slip through the cracks and we want to fix them in a timely manner. That being said, we have a Bug Master process, that ensures that every day, there is at most one developer who reacts to the incoming requests, while the rest of the team can focus on their projects.
  • Occasionally lead projects and be the main point of contact for the implementation of some projects on our roadmap. At talent.io, the role of project leader is a responsability that is taken in turn by team members.
  • Contribute to expanding the quality of our implementation of some transverse topics: infrastructure, performance or security. After a couple of month at talent, you get to choose a guild for the purpose of learning more about that topic, and making our platform excel with regards to those dimensions.

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer. Experience developing web applications is a plus, but not a must.
  • You are completely fluent in English. We have an international team and the working language is English, so be ready!
  • You like to be challenged, and constantly learn and improve your soft and technical skills.
  • You pay attention to details: you will leave no stone unturned in calling your job done.
  • Mastering our technical stack is not a requirement. We feel that if you are curious and have already mastered other web progamming languages, learning Ruby on Rails or ReactJS shouldn’t be difficult.

Recruitment Process

  1. A first call with Ben, Tech Lead
  2. A technical test to be prepared at home
  3. A F2F technical interview, with team members
  4. A People & Culture interview
  5. Reference check
  6. You receive your offer!
